With Mercateo’s Approval Workflow you can invite users to make purchases under your customer number. In addition, you have the option of giving these people purchasing rights, administering them and defining approval conditions for purchasing.


3. How do I benefit from Mercateo’s Approval Workflow?
As you are pooling purchasing under one customer number, you have transparency on spending and can control who buys what in your company. Your colleagues also order the required products themselves without you losing control. As a result you save on superfluous free-text requisitions and the associated queries and incorrect orders.


4. Do I need certain technical requirements?
No, Mercateo’s Approval Workflow is completely web-based and integrated into the procurement platform. Any customer can use Mercateo’s Approval Workflow and map their purchasing hierarchy. You can contact our service team at any time if you have any questions.


5. How can I automatically approve an order?
The purchaser who manages the users in the purchasing hierarchy can issue a general approval per user or automatic approval under specific conditions.
Issuing is done under Settings. Select the user there and click on “Edit”.


6. Is there a maximum number of requesters?
No, the number of requesters is unlimited.


7. How can I approve an order in the case of absence (e.g. holiday)?
The order can also be approved by a colleague who is not the direct line manager to the requester but is further up in the hierarchy. The absentee receives the information by email


8. Can I link Mercateo’s Approval Workflow to an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system?
